In commemoration of the centennial of a woman’s right to vote in America, and in celebration of Women’s History Month, Rick Spencer and Dawn Indermuehle will present some of the most engaging songs of the Women’s Suffrage movement, with historical commentary, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at the Senior Center. (Snow date March 29.)

Light refreshments will be served at this free event, entitled, “From Seneca Falls to the 19th Amendment: Songs of the American Woman Suffrage Movement.”

Songs were composed to advance (and oppose) the agenda that culminated in the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.

This program is co-sponsored by the Senior Center and the Abigail Phelps Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. Register online, or call the Senior Center at (860) 658-3273.
