Learn about unique, little-known aspects of the three Canadian Maritimes provinces — Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick — as they relate to the United States, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, in Simsbury Public Library’s Program Room.
The connections between the United States and the Canadian Maritimes go back centuries and exist even today, a kinship which has proven to be life-altering and more times than not, life-affirming.
Come explore the history, culture, cuisine and “personalities” of the three provinces while learning more about ourselves as next-door neighbors.
This promises to be a lively, humorous and engaging story,
according to event organizers, weaving historical and modern events and facts about the Canadian Maritimes to better
understand and appreciate our North American continent “roommates.”
This free event is cosponsored by the Senior Center and Public Library. Please sign up by July 26 at either location.
