Theatre with Closed Curtain

Equity actress Michèle LaRue will dramatize “Gettysburg: One Woman’s War” from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 24, at The Simsbury Public Library

The free performance sees America’s Civil War through the eyes of civilian Mary Bowman.

Ms. LaRue brings Mary vividly to life on July 1, 1863, as the assault begins on Gettysburg, PA, over 50 years through the devastation that follows, to the healing that only time can bring.

Ms. LaRue adapted her presentation from novelist Elsie Singmaster’s “Gettysburg: Stories of the Red Harvest and the Aftermath” (1913).

This event is co-sponsored by Simsbury Senior Center and Public Library. Please register at either location.
